Autograph Letter Signed to Mrs Simon, 1 page 4to, Mariemont, Edgbaston, 23 September 1915. Thanking her for a letter of sympathy following the death of his son.
Lodge and his wife had six sons and six daughters. The youngest son, Raymond, was killed in the Great War.
'... The blow is a terrible one, & we have no details, beyond the fact that he was wounded & subsequently died. He was a fine lad, full of humour & life. ...'
