Autograph Letter Signed in German to his publisher, [Robert] Lienau, 3½ pages 8vo (filing-holes at the head barely affecting the text), Järvenpää, 22 October 1907. Explaining his difficulties in completing the [Third] Symphony before its debut on his forthcoming tour of Russia.

'You may well have been confused by my answer to your telegram. The fact is that I shall be giving concerts in Abo on the 7th and 8th. From there to Moscow will take me ( ) days. Apart from that I need to have a great deal copied.
But why should Jurgenson need the parts by the 9th? I shall be conducting the first performance of the symphony in Street Petersburg on the 17th, and in Moscow on the 30th. Possibly - or rather, hopefully - the parts will be ready in time for that! I am waiting impatiently for Part III. Please do not forget the dedication "to Granville Bantock"! It is very important that the parts should be collated with printed score ...'

Sibelius also discusses the four-hand arrangement of the score and the piano reduction of his suite Belshazzar's Feast (opus 51) in which there are some errors.
